Spectacular Summer of Science Camps May-July  2020

Mr. Bond’s Science Guys announce their 2020 roster of science camps across Middle Tennessee including West Nashville (M.B.A.) Brentwood (F.R.A.), Mt. Juliet (Mt. Juliet Community Center), East Nashville (Riverwood Church of Christ), Hendersonville (Hoppity Hop Inflatables), Franklin (Williamson County Parks and Recreation), Belle Meade (Harding Academy), Green Hills (Lipscomb Elementary) Spring Hill and Nolensville (WCPR) and Belmont/Hillsboro (Christ The King). 

Morning and/or afternoon camps are three hours each, five days a week. Some locations offer a full-day option. Registration and information can be found at http://www.mrbondscienceguy.com/science-camps or from the host location websites.

Early Bird Discount 

New for 2020 the Science Guys are offering an early bird registration discount for their Mt. Juliet, East Nashville, and Hendersonville locations. Anyone who uses the code EARLYBIRD20 before March 1, 2020, will receive a $20 discount. Along with the early bird discount, The Science Guys offer a sibling/friend discount. A parent from 2019 said “My 5-year-old and his best friend had a great time at Crazy Chemistry camp. They especially enjoyed continuing to play with the things they made in science camp once they got home.”

During the school year the “Science Guys” travel to elementary and middle school classrooms with their mobile science lab. Summer vacation allows participants a more comprehensive study of a diverse spectrum of science themes. Below are some of the highlights for 2020’s themes. 

Summer Camp Themes for 2020:

  • CSI: Perform DNA analysis and lift fingerprints. 

  • Space: Launch rockets, build an eggstranaut re-entry craft and make their own flying orbiter

  • Crazy Chemistry: Use a gigantic periodic table to learn about the elements and perform hands-on experiments to create and observe different chemical reactions. 

  • S.T.E.A.M. Learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math work together to drive innovations.

  • Superhero: Experience the science behind magnetic powers, web throwing, laser eyes, and ice powers.

  • Engineering: Design bridges, learn about and explore with robots, and test out circuitry with DIY circuits.

  • Cirque Du Science: Juggling, plate spinning, balancing feats help kids discover that magic is just science without an explanation!

  • BioScience: Get involved to learn about the biomes and animals on earth. 

  • All About Air!: Explore pressure, flight, wind force, and much more! 

Mr. Bond’s Science Guys were founded by British born Keith Trehy, who attended the American University in Washington, D.C. on a soccer scholarship. Trehy earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, traveled the globe teaching English and Science, then immigrated to Nashville where he operated a “Mad Science” franchise until 2007. Trehy now has his own team of “edutainers” - teachers and entertainers whose mission it is to show kids that science is fun, cool and exciting. The Science Guys of Nashville are Mr. Bond (Trehy), Professor Greybeard (John Wicks), Dr. E! (Kari Donovan), Hydro-Jenna (Jenna Hulsey) and Coco Bond (Fenn Trehy), and Professor Spark (Jordan Krantz). Cosmic Carol (Carol Buttenham) is the Managing and Marketing Director.
